Healthy Summer Story Time

June 6-27, 10:30-11am at The Dalles-Wasco County Library

The Planetree Health Resource Center in partnership with The Dalles-Wasco County Public Library is offering a free summer enrichment program for children ages 3-6 Thursday mornings through the month of June.

Each week a different story will focus on attitudes and habits to keep kids healthy. Special guests will be on hand to lead a fun activity to reinforce the lessons learned from the story.

Join us at The Dalles-Wasco County Public Library for stories, sharing, learning, fun and activities.

  • Thursday, June 6 - Beat to the Rhythm, Music Exploration
    with Mary Beth Eannarino, Drumming Leader
  • Thursday, June 13 - Story Time Yoga
    with Susan Erickson, Yoga Instructor
  • Thursday, June 20 - Healthy Food Happy Body
    with Jennifer Zimmerman, Registered Dietitian
  • Thursday, June 27 - Fire Safety
    with Dan Hammel, Division Chief, Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue

All story times to be held at The Dalles-Wasco County Public Library at 722 Court Street, The Dalles.

Planetree Health Resource Center staff will be available from 11am-noon following each Story Time to offer free blood pressure screenings and information for the community.
