First Impressions Birthing Center
Celebrate your baby's birth in the comfortable, calm and secure setting of our First Impression’s birthing center.
First Impressions offers a relaxing atmosphere designed to make your entire family feel welcome and part of your joyful experience. Members of your support team, including children, are welcome to be with you in your room or in the family area throughout your birthing experience.
In addition to your provider’s care, you will enjoy compassionate, expert attention from a highly trained team of nurses who offer many years of labor, delivery and post-partum experience and, in most cases, certification from the Neonatal Resuscitation Program and in ACLS and EFHM (specialized training in monitoring mothers and babies).
Your nurse will help you through labor, birth and the early parenting experience. Baby will stay right with you while your nurse assists and teaches you about feeding and other mother-infant care. Before your discharge, metabolic (PKU) and hearing screening will be performed.
After you leave, you will still have access to your nurse's expertise by phone, and you are welcome to call with your questions at any time.
When your baby is three days old we will welcome you and baby back to First Impressions for a follow-up visit. Your nurse will assess the health of you and your baby, provide education and guidance on breastfeeding and help you with any concerns or problems that have arisen.
