Kathy Pickering grew up in New Jersey, near New York City. She then moved to the San Francisco Bay area in the 1980’s. After completing PA school at Stanford University, Kathy moved to Kotzebue, Alaska to work at the Native Health Center. She spent 7 years traveling by bush plane to small villages, providing primary care and teaching local Community Health Aides. In 2006, Kathy moved to The Gorge. Kathy’s professional interests include preventive medicine, women’s health and pediatrics.
Her personal interests include most outdoor activities including gardening, hiking, cross country skiing, camping, swimming, traveling and cross-cultural exchanges. Kathy makes jewelry and has recently begun to weave. She loves music and enjoys playing the piano and ukulele.
