Great 'N Small Community Child Care Center
Work without worry
Great ‘N Small is here to give you peace of mind; it’s a place where children come to grow, learn and develop.
Our Center, which is licensed through the State of Oregon Child Care Division, offers a nurturing environment, with a unique program, designed to expand children's intellect, creativity, social skills and problem-solving capabilities.
Education and Enrichment
For more than 20 years, we've been providing year-long, comprehensive child care programs for children ages six weeks through 12 years. Our learning model is centered around the belief that every child is unique and develops in four distinct areas: social, physical, intellectual and emotional.
In addition to traditional models of education, we've incorporated an emergent curriculum, based on an approach born in Reggio Emilia, Italy. Our curriculum, which encourages ideas, curiosity, discoveries and learning, has become one of the most respected and successful education models in the world.
We feel that trusting, satisfying relationships with caregivers establish the healthy foundation of emotional and intellectual growth for each child. These beliefs are fostered in a caring environment enriched with a variety of skilled associates.
Staff members are highly trained in the field of Early Childhood Education and have experience working within a group setting.
We believe each child has basic needs and rights, including the need for affection, approval, security, protection and respect. You can trust that our teachers will work with your child to prepare them for a lifetime of learning and success.
You Are Always Welcome
We invite parents to participate in classroom activities, special events, work parties or to come by and visit whenever possible. The connection between home and school and creating a sense of community early on is an important part of the learning process and we encourage this bond whenever possible.
