The Acute Care department is now accepting applications for a Part-time Core position.

Requirements: Applicants must have current Oregon licensure. Sharp clinical skills and critical thinking abilities are required. A thorough understanding and belief in the Planetree philosophy of patient-centered care is essential in order to provide the highest level of personalized care to our patients. BLS is required. PALS is required within two years. One year of acute care hospital experience or BSN with a minimum of 650 clinical hours is required. Two years of Acute Care experience is preferred.

Schedule: This position is eligible for benefits and will be scheduled two to three 8-hour shifts per week.

Nursing Informatics Specialist

Mid-Columbia Medical Center is now accepting applications for our Nursing Informatics Specialist position.

SUMMARY: Under general supervision, the Nursing Informatics Specialist serves as the liaison between Information Systems and all clinical departments, including medical staff. Working collaboratively with the clinical departments and Information Systems, the Nursing Informatics Specialist participates in the design and implementation of clinical information systems as they apply to established organization clinical practices.

QUALIFICATIONS: Current RN Licensure for the State of Oregon Continuing education and/or specialized training in computer applications, operations and information systems to support understanding of software functions and system integration. Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice with evidence of strength in areas of leadership, creativity, flexibility, integrity, self direction, problem solving, communication and multi-tasking organizational skills. Experience implementing electronic nursing documentation in an inpatient environment is preferred. Experience with technical and clinical components of clinical information systems is desired.

SCHEDULE/BENEFITS: This part-time varied shift position will be guaranteed a minimum of 16 hours per week (pay grade 34, $27.34 - 37.59).

Requirements: Sharp clinical skills and critical thinking abilities are required. A thorough understanding of, and belief in the Planetree philosophy of patient-centered care is essential in order to provide the highest level of personalized care to our patients. Clinical skills in intrapartum, postpartum and neonatal care and two years of inpatient obstetric experience are strongly desired. Current Oregon RN licensure, NRP, and BLS are required. ACLS and fetal monitoring accreditation within 1 year is expected.

Candidates must be clinically sharp, have excellent mentoring skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, nurses, physicians and families under any circumstance. Adapting to the changing demands of the department, including flexibility in scheduling, are essential to this position. A minimum of three years experience in an Acute Care setting, preferably with management experience, and current Oregon RN licensure required. PALS, ACLS and pediatric experience are strongly desired.

This is an exempt position which offers three twelve hour shifts per week (1100 to 2300) and is benefit-eligible. This position is not represented by the Oregon Nurse's Association (ONA).
