Foundation Funds

Gifts to the Foundation advance work in medical care, patient education and community health in the Mid-Columbia region. Opportunities to support this work are available in a variety of areas. We appreciate whatever you can give, to the fund of your choice.

Area of Greatest Need Fund
Through this fund, the Mid-Columbia Medical Center Health Foundation is able to assist non-profit organizations throughout the region with projects that improve the health of our communities. Funding assistance can be requested through a grant application process.

Celilo Cancer Center Fund
We know that given a choice, a cancer center is one of the last places in which anyone would choose to spend time. Still, in Celilo, we believe we have created a nurturing environment, where patients can work through the changes brought on by their diagnosis and learn how to focus on life, hope and healing.

The Celilo Fund meets the needs of cancer patients treated at the Celilo Cancer Center. Through this fund, patients will receive treatments utilizing the most current technologies and equipment available, as well as prescription assistance, regardless of their ability to pay.

Mid-Columbia Medical Center Fund
The Mid-Columbia Medical Center Fund helps offset costs of much-needed MCMC hospital projects, equipment, programs and services. As healthcare becomes more and more costly to provide, this fund helps our hospital to serve its community’s healthcare needs with the most technologically advanced diagnostic and medical equipment and programs in a caring, healing environment.

Center for Mind/Body Medicine Fund
Through the years, studies have proven the benefits of the Mind/Body connection with regard to the healing process. Mid-Columbia Medical Center's, Center for Mind/Body Medicine was developed to assist patients with their goals toward rehabilitation and wellness. Through the Center for Mind/Body Medicine fund, patients can receive financial assistance with education, supplies, transportation and other needs as they pursue their goal toward wellness.

Chaplain's Fund
As we move through our lives, we often realize life can deal any one of us an unexpected blow. This fund ensures all patients receive the necessary supplies, prescriptions, treatments and/or transportation assistance they may require to face life's little emergencies.

Great 'N Small Fund
Mid-Columbia Medical Center was one of the first companies in Oregon to acknowledge the importance of offering employees quality, affordable childcare. The Great 'N Small Child Development Center is an on-campus, licensed facility staffed with teachers who are dedicated to the care, nurturing and education of our employees’ children. As Mid-Columbia Medical Center continues to grow to serve the healthcare needs of this community, so must Great ‘n Small. Your gift will help fund its fourth renovation and expansion, which is currently underway.

Evelyn Kaser Nursing Scholarship Fund
The Evelyn Kaser Nursing Scholarship Fund was established with a very generous gift from Evelyn's husband, Carl Kaser. It was Carl's wish to recognize Evelyn’s lifelong dedication to the nursing profession. Through this fund, students desiring to become registered nurses and practice in the Mid-Columbia region are eligible to apply for financial assistance. Since December 1989, more than 50 students have benefited from the generosity of the Kaser family and donors like you.
