Visitor Information
Comforts Of Home:
On our patient floors, kitchens and dining areas allow patients and families to cook their own meals and enjoy them together. Activity rooms give families and friends comfortable areas in which to pass time and libraries are stocked with information to allow family members and staff to research medical conditions.
Visiting Hours:
There are no set visiting hours. Guests are free to spend the night close to their loved ones in patient rooms that resemble comfortable bedrooms. While we strive to keep our visitor's policy flexible, our staff will follow the patient's wishes regarding visitors whenever possible. Please note that there may be some circumstances where visitor restrictions are necessary for the safety of the patient and visitors.
Gift Shop:
Our Gift Shop is located near the main lobby of the hospital. Stop in for fresh flowers, cards, candy and unique gift items - even seasonal gifts are available. The Gift Shop is operated by our hospital Auxiliary and is staffed with volunteers who willingly give their time to provide our visitors this service. Their generosity supports the purchase of some of the hospital's medical equipment and other wonderful items to enhance the care of our patients.
Smoke-Free Facility:
Consistent with our mission and healthcare responsibility to employees, patients and visitors, Mid-Columbia Medical Center supports a smoke-free environment. Smoking is prohibited in the building. Visitors may smoke, however, in their cars. Smokers who are hospitalized are offered a smoking cessation program to help develop strategies to quit smoking.
Pastoral Care:
Pastoral Care is available to help you and your loved ones through times of difficulty. Arrangement can be made for your own clergy person to visit you, as well. Our interdenominational chapel is located on the second floor and is available for meditation and prayer. Visitors of all faiths are welcome.
