Yoga at Celilo

YOga9Yoga can be an effective complementary therapy for a variety of conditions, including cancer, and it is an integral component of our Integrated Therapies program.

Yoga’s most obvious benefits relate to stress reduction, flexibility and relaxation. But as more studies are conducted, there is evidence of other tangible health benefits.

Yoga is gentle enough to be practiced by almost anyone. Patients can work within their own limitations and tailor their practice to their specific needs. Yoga’s gentle, mindful and controlled movements can provide a low- or no-impact workout for people in almost any physical condition.

“All the fear I had at first went away soon because everyone was so positive and supportive. No one ever told me Don’t do this or Don’t do that. They never told me my life was going to be changing completely. They just encouraged me to go ahead and do the things that were important to me.”
