The mPower Acute Rehabilitation program is designed to treat patients with serious or acute chronic disabilities generally of a neurological, traumatic or orthopedic nature including:
- Stroke/CVA (cerebrovascular accident)
- Brain injury
- Spinal cord injuries
- Other neurological disorders (ie: Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis)
- Major multiple trauma
- Femur/hip fractures
- Congenital deformities
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Severe or advanced osteoarthritis
As with all programs of Mid-Columbia Medical Center, the patient’s family plays an important role on the care team. Our staff teaches family members the skills they need to support their loved ones during the hospital stay and to continue their progress at home. Team members also help patients and their families deal with emotional and relationship issues that often accompany a disabling condition. A case manager coordinates all efforts and is the key liaison with the family.
