Fundraising Partners

The Mid-Columbia Health Foundation continues to look to our friends and neighbors in the community to help us make a difference in the future of health care.  We are grateful to the many businesses and individuals who raise funds and awareness around important health and wellness initiatives through their local fundraising programs.

newWishram-SeniorsThe 2014 Graduating Class of Wishram chose to support women in need of mammograms with a donation to the Mid-Columbia Health Foundation’s Breast Health for Strong Families Fund.  They organized the fundraiser from start to finish which included a class “wear pink” competition, a charity walk and a bake sale.  The donation they made will help provide free mammograms along with transportation assistance and breast health education and outreach.

Girl Scout Troop #103

They chose to support local cancer patients with a donation to the Mid-Columbia Health Foundation’s Celilo Cancer Center Fund.  This fund provides gas cards, wigs, prescriptions, massage and other integrated therapies to those fighting cancer.

Griffith Motors

Griffith Motors 2013

Owner, David Griffith is no stranger to the Mid-Columbia Health Foundation.  He is a supporter of each of our signature events.  In 2013 Mr. Griffith took it a step further.  In honor of breast cancer awareness month he donated $50 for every car sold in the month of October to our Breast Health for Strong Families Program.  This donation is being used to ensure that local women in need are able to get mammograms.  This has been come an annual event at Griffith Motors.

Kalee Frazer

Kalee-Frazer-Photo

Her senior project White Salmon Senior Kalee Frazer wanted to do something to impact the lives of cancer patients.  She organized a fundraising walk to benefit the patients of Celilo Cancer Center. “I hope to make a difference in helping others receive treatments that they need to survive cancer,” stated Kalee, as she handed over the pile of checks she collected at her event.  Kalee’s efforts brought in just over $1,300 for the Celilo Cancer Center Fund.

Renken Farms Harvest Fest

The Harvest Fest began in 2005 and has grown into a fall favorite with local gorge residents.  Host Renken Farms generously donates proceeds to Great ‘N Small.  Over the years, the donations amount has grown to over $40,000.  Donations to the Great ‘N Small Fund are accepted year round and are used to purchase quality childcare materials for the facility.

Splash for Pink

Splash for Pink – A benefit for Breast Cancer Care in Maupin Oregon began in 2010 as a way for thrill seekers across the Northwest to enjoy a 13 mile rafting trip, a barbeque  lunch and a fun day for the entire family on the Deschutes River.  But it doesn’t end there!  A portion of the proceeds from this event benefit the Mid-Columbia Health Foundation’s Celilo Cancer Center Fund; ensuring that patients of Celilo have what they need to fight this disease.

Tough Enough to Wear Pink?

Tough Enough to Wear Pink?  Well, the Fort Dalles Rodeo Association is!  The Fort Dalles Rodeo Association has been donating their Tough Enough to Wear Pink dollars to the Mid-Columbia Health Foundation since 2009.  Tough Enough to Wear Pink  has helped bring two Digital Mammography Machines to MCMC, along with providing vital funding to the Breast Health for Strong Families Program providing mammograms free of charge to those who qualify.
