- Focus on functional activities such as wheelchair mobility, transfer skills, and walking through exercise and conditioning programs
- Increase independence in activities of daily living

Family Involvement
As with all programs of Mid-Columbia Medical Center, the patient's family plays an important role on the care team. Our staff teaches family members the skills they need to support their loved ones during the hospital stay and to continue their progress at home. Team members also help patients and their families deal with emotional and relationship issues that often accompany a disabling condition. A case manager coordinates all efforts and is the key liaison with the family.
