Massage Therapy

One of the oldest forms of health practice; massage has been used to enhance healing and general well being since ancient times. Massage therapy manipulates the skin, muscles and joints for muscle relaxation, improved circulation and stress relief.

At the Center for Mind & Body Medicine we employ a number of massage therapists specializing in many differing massage techniques. For more information or to schedule a massage please call 541/296-7389.

Swedish Relaxation Massage

Gentle relaxing massage; a gentle way to detoxify and feel deeply relaxed.

Warm Stone Therapy Massage

Using warmed natural river stones and soothing massage strokes, this therapy helps release tight muscles and promotes deep relaxation.  Heated stones may also be placed on specific points along your spine, in the palms of your hands, or even between your toes to improve the flow of energy in your body.

Deep Body Massage

A strong, vigorous massage used to release tension, reduce pain and relax tight muscles. The pressure is firm throughout the massage experience with deep work in specific areas such the back, neck and/or shoulders.

Sports Massage

Sports Massage is a special form of massage that is typically used before, during, and after athletic events. The purpose of the massage is to prepare the athlete for peak performance, to drain away fatigue, to relieve swelling, to reduce muscle tension, to promote flexibility and to prevent injuries.

Thai Massage

Thai Massage is a deep relaxing form of massage and a form of assisted yoga. The assisted stretches help pump chi (energy) to the organs while the palming and thumbing of the main energy lines helps unblock and release points of tension.  This form of massage is done fully clothed on a matted floor.

Lymphedema Therapy Massage

Manual lymph drainage massage is effective through the pumping and stretching effect on the lymph vessels. This form of therapy stimulates contractions of the lymph vessels, which in turn assist the movement of lymph forward. This a relaxing and deeply detoxifying therapy. Our therapist is certified in the Vodder technique of manual lymph drainage and combined decongestive therapy.

Cancer Massage

Gentle, safe and healing massage for patients receiving current treatment or after treatment wellness care.
