Kristen is a native Oregonian (born in La Grande), but was mostly raised in Boise, Idaho. She was lucky to have the majority of her extended family throughout Oregon, so became very familiar with the Gorge, Portland and Eastern Oregon growing up. She attended Oregon State University as an undergraduate, graduating in 2006 after studying and majoring in Exercise and Sports Science.
After spending 3 years in Boston, where she obtained her Master’s Degree at Northeastern University and practiced in Emergency Departments in city hospitals. Kristen is thrilled to once again call herself an Oregonian! She is so excited to start her practice with Drs. Cullen, Schwartz & Boone, revisiting her original love of orthopedics and sports medicine. Aside from her family, Kristen was most excited to return to Oregon for a more relaxed lifestyle and to work and live in a smaller community, where she feels she can truly contribute and make a difference to the people of The Gorge. She is looking forward to working with the youth of our community, having participated in sports her entire life, Kristen really enjoys working with kids and teens and understands the needs and demands placed on our competitive youth.
Outside of work, Kristen loves to run (is hoping to train for another marathon), snowboard, can’t wait to get back in the saddle of her road bike (those Boston roads sure do have their share of potholes!), and is looking forward to taking advantage of the Gorge winds this summer. She is trying her best at learning to cook, loves visiting vineyards and farmers markets, and hopes to make it to some football games in Corvallis this fall. Go Beavs!
Kristen looks forward to meeting you and seeing everyone out and about!
