Dr. Jenewein was born and raised in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, IL.
She obtained her undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Science) at St. Norbert
College in DePere, WI. Here she also competed in NCAA women's cross-country
and track & field, earning Academic All-Conference Athlete all 4 years.
She graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2008. She then obtained her DPM (Doctor
of Podiatric Medicine) degree from Des Moines University in Des Moines,
IA. She graduated a member of Pi Delta Honor Society and class valedictorian
in 2012. She went on to complete a comprehensive 3-year foot & ankle
surgical residency in Portland, Oregon through the Legacy Health and Kaiser
Permanente health systems. Her training included forefoot, rearfoot, and
ankle reconstruction, deformity correction, and trauma; sports medicine
and arthroscopy; as well as diabetic limb salvage and external fixation.
Dr. Jenewein spends most of her free time weight training and running.
On the trail or road racing, she has a special interest and experience
in minimalist / natural running. She also enjoys hiking, mountain biking,
music, and traveling to visit family and friends. Her approach to patient
care is an individualized treatment plan based on specific goals. She
believes in early diagnosis & intervention, with aggressive rehabilitation
for active individuals. She aims to maximize mobility for all patients.
