John Rew is a board-certified respiratory therapist at MCMC Sleep Solutions.
John received an honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy before completing
his Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Care at Independence University
in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Prior to joining Mid-Columbia Medical Center, John was a respiratory therapist
at Bennett Medical Services in Reno, Nevada, where worked as part of a
team of other healthcare professionals to manage patient care; provided
emergency care such as artificial respiration, external cardiac massage
and assistance with cardiopulmonary resuscitation; and monitored physiological
responses to therapy. Prior to that, John was a lead patient care technician
at Vital Care in Carson City, Nevada.
His practice focus is on respiratory therapy. John loves working with
patients from different backgrounds and cultures. He works hard to make
each patient feel welcomed and important by getting to know them on a
personal level and listening to all of their health concerns.
In his spare time, John enjoys cycling and spending time with his wife.
Together they like to ride their tandem bike, travel in their motorhome
and shop at thrift stores and garage sales.
John is a member of the American Association for Respiratory Care, National
board for Respiratory Care and Oregon Society for Respiratory Care.
