Dr. Jaclin LaBarbera is a pediatric intensivist at MCMC Pediatrics.
Prior to joining MCMC, Dr. LaBarbera was an attending physician in pediatrics
and pediatric critical care in a number of settings, including Sharp Rees-Stealy
Medical Group in San Diego, South County Pediatric Critical Care Medical
Group in Fountain Valley, California, and Children’s Hospital at
Montefiore in Bronx, NY.
Dr. LaBarbera completed her Bachelor of Arts in Biology summa cum laude
at Seattle Pacific University.
She received her Doctor of Medicine at New York University School of Medicine,
where she was a Rhodes Scholarship State Finalist, was awarded the Frank
Girod Scholarship Award, PEO Sisterhood National Scholarship Award, and
was invited into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
While studying for her Doctor of Medicine, Dr. LaBarbera also earned her
M.P.H. in Policy and Management at Columbia Mailman School of Public Health.
She completed her internship and residencies in pediatrics at New York
Presbyterian Hospital, where she won the Distinguished Housestaff Award
and the Award for Clinical Excellence.
Dr. LaBarbara enjoys partnering with families through the difficult times
when a child is ill. As a mother, she understands the stress of having
a sick child, from a simple ear infection to chronic disease.
Dr. LaBarbera was searching for a family friendly, rural community with
lots of outdoor activities when she fell in love with the Gorge. In her
freetime, she enjoys surfing, cooking, reading, and spending time with family.
She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Telemedicine
Association, and Society of Critical Care Medicine.
