Dr. Matt LaBarbera is a cardiologist at MCMC Cardiology.
As a board-certified interventional cardiologist, Dr. Matt LaBarbera treats
a broad range of cardiovascular diseases. He enjoys establishing long-term
relationships with his patients, educating them about cardiovascular disease
and helping them make meaningful changes in their own health as part of
a patient-physician team.
Dr. LaBarbera completed his B.S. in Biology at New York University. He
earned his M.D. at New York University School of Medicine, where he also
completed his residency in internal medicine. He completed his fellowship
in Cardiology at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, followed
by a fellowship in interventional cardiology at New York University School
Prior to joining MCMC, Dr. LaBarbera worked in a variety of settings, including
as as attending cardiologist at Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego,
attending cardiologist at New York University’s Langone Medical
Center and as an attending physician in internal medicine at memorial
Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. He has published and presented
extensively on topics related to cardiovascular disease.
He relocated to the Gorge for the opportunity to provide advanced cardiovascular
care and be closer to family. In his freetime, Dr. LaBarbera enjoys the
outdoors, training mixed martial art and spending time with family.
