Holly Mahoney is a board-certified occupational therapist at Mid-Columbia
Her general practice focus is pediatric occupational therapy. Holly loves
watching the world from a child’s perspective and makes therapy
fun by choosing personalized, sensory-friendly activities that engage
children as they meet their goals—without realizing they are doing
Holly received her B.S. in Exercise Science with a minor in Spanish at
Nebraska Wesleyan University, where she also completed an intensive Spanish
language study abroad program at Universidad de Granada Center for Modern
An NCAA Academic All-American in Track and Field, Holly received numerous
awards for academic and athletic performance, including NCAA Woman of
the Year Top Finalist, NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship, and Physical Education,
Recreation, and Dance (NAHPERD) Exercise Science Major of the Year.
Holly completed her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at the University
of South Dakota, where she was invited into Phi Theta Epsilon, an honor
society for occupational therapy students and alumni. While studying for
her M.S., Holly also published and presented original research and was
a member of the Student Occupational Therapy Association and the Lee Medical
School Wellness Council.
Prior to joining MCMC, Holly served in a variety of settings, including
as a school occupational therapist in Vancouver, a home health occupational
therapist in Coos Bay, Oregon, and a traveling occupational therapist
at acute, transitional, and skilled nursing care facilities across the country.
Outside of work, Holly enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter.
She also stays active by bouldering, cycling, hiking, running, and teaching CrossFit.
