Bridge to Future Campaign/LINAC
Join us in our fundraising efforts to upgrade the radiation therapy capabilities
at Celilo Cancer Center
Mid-Columbia Health Foundation has launched the next phase of its “Bridge
to the Future” campaign with the goal of raising $2.5 million for
Celilo Cancer Center. The funds will support the purchase of a new linear
accelerator to upgrade the center’s radiation therapy capabilities.
Since its opening in 2001, Celilo Cancer Center has provided effective
and compassionate cancer care to more than 7,500 patients right here in
the Gorge. Celilo Cancer Center has received the highest possible rating
by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons and is
accredited as a center for clinical research.
The current linear accelerator at Celilo was very leading-edge when it
was installed a decade ago; however, with technological advances in cancer
care the current machine is now very outdated and lacks the cancer-fighting
capabilities of newer equipment. With a new linear accelerator for radiation
therapy, physicians will be able to provide more targeted, life-saving
treatment with less damage to healthy tissue.
Please help us dramatically change the lives of those fighting cancer in

About Bridge to the Future
Our “Bridge to the Future” campaign was developed to strengthen
the hospital through support for critical equipment acquisition and capacity
funding that will ensure the hospital’s long tradition of providing
leading-edge, high-quality healthcare continues well into the future.
In 2019, we raised funds to purchase and install a 3D mammography system,
the best diagnostic tool available to detect breast cancer.
We are now turning our attention to the purchase of a new linear accelerator
which directly impacts our capacity to treat all forms of cancer. To donate, click
