Two groups of MCMC providers have relocated to better serve their patients.
Effective immediately, the pediatric specialists who formerly practiced
at the family medicine clinic on 12th Street are now located in the Columbia
Crest building at 1935 E. 19th St.
The new clinic devoted exclusively to the care of children is named MCMC
Pediatrics and will house Drs. Denis FitzSimon, Sara McCaffrey and Kathy Omer.
The office phone number is 541.506.6520.
In addition, the MCMC family medicine providers located at the Columbia
Crest building are now practicing at the newly named MCMC Family Medicine
clinic (formerly Columbia Hills Family Medicine) at 1620 E. 12 St.
Those providers include Drs. Judy Richardson and John Rogers, family nurse
practitioner Johanna Nesse and physician assistant Carrie Vieira. They
join fellow family care providers Dr. Robert Alaimo, Dr. Jane Corboy and
physician assistant Shaylyn Murphy in the 12th Street location.
The number for MCMC Family Medicine is 541.296.9151.
With the moves, MCMC’s pediatric and family medicine providers are
now consolidated in clinics devoted to their specialty areas.
Departments On The Move
Mid-Columbia Medical Center patients are now able to benefit from more
convenient access to our hospital and clinic billing departments. In April,
the two departments consolidated in the beautifully renovated historic
building that formerly housed Craig’s Office Supply at 323 East
2nd St. in downtown The Dalles.
The building was remodeled to accommodate more than 50 personnel from MCMC’s
various Finance and Patient Account locations. MCMC occupies all of the
top floor (8,000 sq ft) and more than half of the downstairs space. The
remainder of the remodeled lower floor will house the new retail location
for Adams Design Center.
This project was inspired by MCMC’s desire to make it easier for
community members to access the MCMC financial team. This consolidation
will enable patients to call or visit one convenient location to complete
their healthcare billing process — eliminating the confusion that
can occur with multiple locations.
The added benefit of the consolidation is the opportunity to bolster business
downtown by bringing a landmark back to life and filling it with more
than 50 employees, while bringing many other individuals into the downtown
area to visit the new MCMC offices and other establishments.
“MCMC is excited to become one of the businesses in downtown The
Dalles,” said MCMC’s Don Arbon, vice president of finance.
“We hope the success of this project will inspire others in our
community to find ways to also invest in our downtown area and to restore
and preserve the preserve the collective history will all hold so dear.“
