A lot has changed since the outbreak of the coronavirus, but one thing
that hasn't changed is our commitment to our patients’ health
and well-being. Whether you are pregnant or in need of other women's
healthcare, we want you to know that we are here for you.
To our pregnant patients, we understand that you are likely feeling anxious
and unsure of how the pandemic will affect your pregnancy and prenatal
care. We want to keep you on track for a healthy pregnancy. Prenatal care
is still necessary and vital, both for your health and for the health
of your growing baby. In response to the current health crisis, we have
taken several steps to ensure your safety while receiving prenatal care
at our clinic:
We have changed the structure and schedule of prenatal care so that many
visits can be done virtually, using your smartphone, tablet or computer.
To minimize the risk of exposure of patients and staff, we have changed
our visitor policy to prohibit visitors except for a single support person
for first trimester ultrasounds and second trimester detailed ultrasounds.
For the protection of all our patients:
We have spaced the chairs in our waiting room to maintain six feet of distance,
as recommended by the CDC. We are scheduling "well" patients
early in the day, and reserving the late afternoon for patients who are
not feeling well in order to avoid exposure of healthy people to sick people.
To our patients who are not pregnant, we are here for you too! All of
our providers now offer virtual appointments using a secure video service
on your smartphone, tablet or computer. We can even offer same-day appointments.
If you have questions about your care and whether you should be seen in
person or by virtual visit, please call the clinic at (541) 296-5657.
We look forward to supporting all of our patients through this challenging time.
