Breathe Easier, Live Better
Pulmonary rehabilitation is a general program where we help patients with
chronic lung diseases improve their lung function, reduce the severity
of their disease's symptoms, and live a better life. Our pulmonary
rehabilitation specialists have extensive experience with helping people
suffering from lung problems.
We also have access to a wide array of resources that could help improve
your health significantly. These include our aquatic center's three
pools, comprehensive training facilities, multiple outpatient centers,
and several integrated therapy programs. Using these resources, we will
create a comprehensive treatment plan to help you improve your lung capacity
and abilities. The plan may include dietary recommendations, exercise
regimens, medical prescriptions, and more.
Pulmonary rehabilitation may include several of the following components:
- Breathing strategies and education
- Energy conservation techniques
- Psychological counseling
- Nutritional counseling
- Exercise training
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
Pulmonary rehabilitation is recommended for patients suffering from COPD
and other types of chronic lung disease. COPD is often debilitating, depending
on the severity of its symptoms. Fortunately, the symptom's effects
can be lessened and managed to an extent. This is achieved through diligent,
consistent, and careful training and therapy. Patients that follow the
treatment program closely are much more likely to improve their lungs'
capabilities than those who do not.
Committed to You
The process for pulmonary rehabilitation is often a long-term commitment
for both the patient and their team of health care providers. The team
may include doctors, nurses, dietitians, physical therapists, and more.
We are committed to helping you improve your lung condition and you can
rest assured that we will be with you every step of the way. Our pulmonary
rehabilitation specialists aim to not only improve your breathing abilities,
but also lead a happier and more comfortable life.
