Nursing Staff at First Impressions Birthing Center
A message from Ann Becker, Director of First Impressions
“I have a long history in maternal child and nursing, I’m a
certified nurse midwife and have had private practice in the gorge for
a decade. I’ve also worked in all aspects of prenatal ICU, pediatric
ICU and taking care of pregnant moms in labor as a nurse, prior to midwifery.
So I have a unique way of being able to support my staff and also helping
them learn more and more about supporting laboring women.”
Nursing Staff at MCMC birthing center with new parents MCMC’s Birthing
Center nurses are all RN’s with extensive education including basic
life support (BLS) and neonatal resuscitation. Many have specialty expertise
in neonatal intensive care. They are knowledgeable, compassionate and
offer the benefits of many years of experience. That means they have helped
bring thousands of babies into the world.
In addition to clinical care, nurses provide families with personal support.
Patients tell us our nurses do a wonderful job of anticipating the needs
of moms, babies and families before they have a concern. Nurses pave the
way for a smooth delivery, encouraging laboring mothers, educating patients
and families and easing their comfort.
