Women's Giving Circle
Giving Circles Make an Impact
At a time when individuals seem increasingly distant from each other, the
Women’s Giving Circle of the Mid-Columbia Health Foundation is a
simple and powerful concept: women come together, combine their dollars
in a shared fund, decide collectively where to give money, and learn more
about their community and philanthropy.
The Giving Circle of MCHF plays to women's strengths as networkers
and collaborators and offers a way for smaller donors to be part of something
larger—yet not so large they have no meaningful voice. The Giving
Circle is a group of women who are grounded in a tradition of volunteerism
& sharing and bring a legacy of community engagement.
Giving Circles Make a Difference
The Women’s Giving Circle of the Mid-Columbia Health Foundation makes
grants to non-profit organizations small and large, as well as to individuals
and community groups. Funding decisions are made collectively by the Giving
Circle members who choose when, how much, and who to support with gifts
and grants.
As a member of the Women’s Giving Circle, you will have an opportunity to:
- Collaborate with women to make a difference
- Create a living legacy
- Celebrate with others the impact of your participation and support
- Support and promote women in leadership positions
- Have a deeper and better giving experience
- Achieve more meaningful giving
- Meet new friends and socialize
Join Our Circle
The Women’s Giving Circle of the Mid-Columbia Health Foundation engages
women of all generations in the power of community philanthropy. Our contributions
of time, talent, and financial resources address the needs of groups and
individuals throughout the community. Through education and increased
awareness of local requests, we make a difference in the lives of many
throughout the Columbia River Gorge. Our inaugural gift of $10,000, made
by the Circle's founding members, was granted to the Youth Empowerment
Shelter in 2019.
