MCMC Volunteers came together to serve at Orchard View Farm’s First
Employee Health Fair
Volunteers came together to provide educational materials and free screenings
to Orchard View Farm’s first Employee Health Fair in late September,
supplying handouts, hand sanitizers, water bottles, and t-shirts to many
of the family business’s employees.
Participants in the event included Blanca Flores from Breast Health for
Strong Families, Abby from Revell Coy Insurance, and Tessa De La Cruz,
Shannon Richardson, Daniel Price, Dalia Vega, and Denise Dietrech-Bokum
from MCMC’s SOMOS team.
The team was successful in reaching 26 women and providing free screenings
to an additional 68 other people. These screenings, provided together
with the SOMOS team, included vision, glucose, blood pressure, BMI, height,
and weight.
The team was also able to provide one-on-one educational meetings with
Orchard View employees, giving information on mammograms, ultrasounds,
and the importance of screenings.
Orchard View was extremely thankful for their partnership with MCMC for
this event. Not only was the event able to be put on in a short amount
of time, but it provided services to a majority of their employees thanks
to the BHSF and SOMOS teams.
