MCMC recognizes the healing power of sleep. Sleep is essential for maintaining
physiological and emotional wellbeing. Adequate rest can speed recovery,
while sleep deprivation can harm patients.
To support rest and sleep, MCMC team members will minimize noise and patient
disturbances during the following times:
- Daytime Quiet Hours: 1:30pm to 3pm
- Nighttime Quiet Hours: 10pm to 6am
Patients and families can help by using headphones or earbuds when watching
TV and using multimedia devices, keeping electronic devices on vibrate,
taking quietly in-person and on the phone, and spending visits in any
of our waiting rooms, lounges, atrium, cafeteria, gift shop, or labyrinth.
