(THE DALLES, Ore. – Aug. 24, 2020) — Brian Scrivens, D.O.,
has joined Mid-Columbia Medical Center’s Sports Medicine & Orthopedic
Surgery program, expanding the Gorge’s most experienced team of
physicians, certified athletic trainers and physical therapists all focused
on helping patients suffering from sports, bone or muscle-related health issues.
“Dr. Scrivens brings to The Dalles a unique expertise in orthopedics
along with a personal commitment to enriching the health of our local

Dr. Scrivens received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Western University
of Health Sciences in California. Following the completion of his residency
at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis, Oregon, he completed
an orthopedic surgery sports medicine fellowship at the University at
Buffalo where he served as an associate team doctor for the Buffalo Sabres
(NHL), Buffalo Bills (NFL) and Buffalo State University (NCAA). Dr. Scrivens
is certified in advanced trauma and cardiac life support and has performed
research at Oregon State University.
Among the specialty areas included in MCMC’s Sports Medicine &
Orthopedic Surgery program are arthroscopic surgery, total joint replacement,
surgery for ligaments and tendons, sports injury management and prevention,
fracture treatment, and physical rehabilitation including aquatic therapy.
The orthopedic team at MCMC is focused on helping patients recover mobility,
restore function to muscles, relieve pain, and limit or prevent physical
disabilities.
MCMC’s Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Surgery program is located
in The Dalles at Water’s Edge. With numerous integrated therapies,
its facilities include an aquatic center with three pools, a gym with
